Beta Testing Period

During our beta testing phase, we offer a generous 90-day free trial. This policy will apply once paid subscriptions become available.

At xTide, we want you to be completely satisfied with our service. This Refund Policy explains our refund and cancellation terms for xTide subscriptions.

1. Free Trial Period

1.1 Trial Duration: All new accounts receive a 90-day free trial with full access to all features.

1.2 No Payment Required: No credit card or payment information is required during the trial period.

1.3 Trial Cancellation: You may cancel at any time during the trial with no charges.

1.4 Trial Conversion: After the trial period, continued use requires a paid subscription.

2. Subscription Billing

2.1 Billing Cycle: Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually based on your selected plan.

2.2 Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.

2.3 Price Changes: We will notify you at least 30 days before any price changes take effect.

3. Cancellation Policy

3.1 Cancel Anytime: You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings or by contacting support.

3.2 Effective Date: Cancellations take effect at the end of your current billing period.

3.3 Access After Cancellation: You retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing period.

3.4 No Automatic Refund: Cancelling your subscription does not automatically trigger a refund for the current period.

4. Refund Eligibility

4.1 14-Day Money-Back Guarantee

We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee for your first paid subscription payment:

  • Applies to your first payment after the free trial
  • Request must be made within 14 days of payment
  • Full refund issued, no questions asked
  • Does not apply to renewal payments

4.2 Service Disruption Refunds

We may issue prorated refunds for extended service disruptions:

  • Service outage lasting more than 24 consecutive hours
  • Critical bug preventing core functionality
  • Refund amount based on downtime duration

4.3 Billing Error Refunds

If you were charged incorrectly due to a billing error, we will issue a full refund immediately upon verification.

5. Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds are generally NOT provided in the following cases:

  • Subscription renewal payments (after the first payment)
  • Partial month refunds after the 14-day window
  • Change of mind after 14 days
  • Failure to use the service
  • Violation of Terms of Service resulting in account termination
  • Downgrading from a higher-tier plan to a lower-tier plan

6. Refund Request Process

6.1 How to Request:

  • Include: Account email, reason for refund, payment date

6.2 Processing Time:

  • Review: Within 2 business days
  • Approval: Within 5 business days
  • Refund to original payment method: 5-10 business days

6.3 Notification: You will receive email confirmation when your refund is processed.

7. Plan Upgrades and Downgrades

7.1 Upgrades:

  • Immediate access to upgraded features
  • Prorated charge for the remaining billing period
  • New plan price applies on next renewal

7.2 Downgrades:

  • Takes effect at the end of current billing period
  • No refund for unused higher-tier features
  • Maintain current plan benefits until renewal

8. Data After Cancellation or Refund

8.1 Data Retention: Your data is retained for 30 days after cancellation.

8.2 Data Export: You may export your data before or within 30 days after cancellation.

8.3 Data Deletion: After 30 days, your data may be permanently deleted.

8.4 Reactivation: You may reactivate your account within 30 days without data loss.

9. Chargebacks and Disputes

Please contact us directly before initiating a chargeback with your bank. Chargebacks without prior contact may result in account suspension. We're committed to resolving billing issues quickly and fairly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
