Delete Your xTide Account

We're sorry to see you go. This page explains how to request deletion of your xTide account and associated data.

Important: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Please make sure you want to proceed before submitting your request.

How to Request Account Deletion

To delete your xTide account, please send an email request to our support team:

Subject: Account Deletion Request

Please include the following information in your email:

  • Your full name
  • Email address associated with your xTide account
  • Restaurant/organization name (if applicable)
  • Reason for deletion (optional, helps us improve)

What Data Will Be Deleted

When you request account deletion, the following data will be permanently removed from our systems:

  • Personal Information: Your name, email address, phone number, and profile photo
  • Account Data: Login credentials, account settings, and preferences
  • Activity Data: App usage data, notification preferences, and login history
  • Profile Information: All personal profile details and settings

What Data Will Be Retained

Some data may be retained for legal, financial, or business purposes:

  • Financial Records: Tip history and earnings records may be retained for up to 7 years as required by tax and employment laws
  • Shift History: Historical shift data may be retained in your employer's records for payroll and compliance purposes
  • Aggregated Data: Anonymized, aggregated data used for analytics (cannot be traced back to you)
  • Legal Records: Information required for legal compliance, dispute resolution, or fraud prevention

Note: Your employer/restaurant management retains control over shift and financial records for their business operations and compliance requirements.

Processing Timeline

    Within 48 hours: We will confirm receipt of your deletion request
  • 2
    Within 30 days: Your account and personal data will be permanently deleted
  • 3
    Final confirmation: You will receive an email confirming your account has been deleted

Alternatives to Deletion

If you're not ready to permanently delete your account, consider these alternatives:

  • Disable Notifications: Turn off push notifications in your app settings
  • Update Privacy Settings: Adjust what information is visible to others
  • Take a Break: Simply stop using the app without deleting your account
  • Contact Support: Let us know if there's an issue we can help resolve

After Deletion

Once your account is deleted:

  • You will no longer be able to log in to xTide
  • You will not receive any notifications or emails from us
  • You cannot recover your account or any deleted data
  • Your employer may still have access to historical shift and tip records required for their business operations
  • If you wish to use xTide again in the future, you will need to create a new account
